Like a gardener

Like a gardener in his exclusive garden, I engage myself more in contradicting nature than in restoring a pastiche.
The question is to « denature » in the sense that my painting has been traced, modified, reconstituated, grafted, watered. From the image to the imaginary the scenography lets appear figures related to popular art : statues, satires, shepherds, animals, tents, cabins… They are there yet put aside, camoufflaged, woven, like an image in a carpet, with neither a top nor a bottom, no direction even less weight, more like a vision from the third eye.

Dé-nature
